The Central Bank of the UAE has issued a commemorative silver coin marking its 50th anniversary, featuring the image of President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Available for sale at 650 AED, only 3000 coins will be minted.

The Mint OABIM issued a commemorative medal in honor of its 50th anniversary, illustrating the same path of innovation in the banking and financial sectors, as well as the key role of the bank in promoting economic development to achieve the vision of the wise leadership "to be one of the best central banks in the world." The reverse of the medal features an image of the OABIM building and the inscription "50 years since the establishment of OABIM" in Arabic and English on the sides, as well as the years 1973-2023 and the denomination of the medal (50 dirhams).

Turning to the details, OABIM issued 3000 such medals, each weighing 60 grams. The obverse side of the medal depicts the Head of State - Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, accompanied by the inscription "Head of State OABIM" in Arabic. The medal will be available for purchase at a price of 650 dirhams, including delivery within the country's territory.

Simultaneously with the release of the commemorative medal, the Central Bank presented a digital platform for the purchase of issued medals through its website, providing simple and seamless steps through instant access via digital identification. This digital service aims to enhance government financial services to international standards, optimize service delivery, facilitate access to the products and services of the Central Bank within the country and beyond, and also reduce the time and resources necessary for users. The Central Bank website will showcase the entire range of issued medals, including the sale of limited series of previous years, starting from today.
